Traditional fashions

On a recent trip to the Baltimore Zoo I noticed, once again, that it seems to attract a surprising number of traditionalists of various types: orthodox Jews, devout Muslims, and conservative Christians. And myself, of course. On our way out, my husband noted that I “fit right in there”.

I was, so to speak, fashionable there. We were all admiring each other’s clothing, and I even had someone remark on my pretty headcovering. Many people who aren’t well-versed in the minutiae of traditionalism might find it difficult to differentiate between the various traditional garb. Common denominators seem to be: headcoverings, long skirts, loose pants, long shirts or tunics, leggings.
