Update on the life of lords

As more and more of us opt out of the financial system altogether, the economic debates are increasingly becoming another aspect of the “circuses” part of “bread and circuses”. Or, since we’re all gluten-free now, “popcorn” and circuses.

Make a fresh batch.

Auditing The IRS: “Is There Any Limit To The Scope Where You Folks Can Go?”

The IRS can do almost anything they want to anybody they want any time they want. This is very chilling for the American people…. This is a Pandora’s box that has been opened. The American people should be outraged and they are. This has nothing to do with political parties – this has to do with highly targeted groups. This reconfirms everything that the American public believes. This is a huge blow to the faith and trust the American people have in their government. Is there any limit to the scope of where you folks can go? Is there there any question that you should have asked: how much money do you have in your wallet, who do you get emails from, whose sign do you put up in your front yard: this ia tax question? The fact that you all can do just about anything you want to anybody: you can put anybody out of business any time you want…. I think the American people have seen what’s going on right now in the their government. This is absolutely an overreach and this is an outrage for all Americans.

Oh, yeah. I’m totally outraged, I suppose.

I’m increasingly watching all of this song-and-dance with a focus on its entertainment value. It’s economic porn, essentially. I get excited at the intercourse, I’m grossed out but morbidly fascinated, and in the end I still didn’t actually get off. Pass the popcorn.

Did you know that:

The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation.

Wow, no joke? That’s hilarious. *cue laugh-track* This reality TV is fascinating. How depraved can they be? How low can they go? Are we getting so desensitized yet that we can’t even be bothered to watch anymore because the subject is starting to bore us?

What does this picture remind you of? Wait, don’t say it! Mind the children.

And Greece is selling off its islands to wealthy lords. It’s bad enough when you’re ruled by your own aristocracy, but how much suck is it to be ruled by someone else’s aristocracy? Ha ha, losers!

Cuz it’s Recovery Summer 2013! QE4EVAH!!!!!!! This should be good sport, but I’m already running low on popcorn and the debt ceiling debate hasn’t even started up yet.

I need some butter. And guns. Guns and butter.
